This little blog is owned by Bexx & Nobby. After 11 wonderful years together, we’ve decided to have a baby. This blog will (hopefully) follow us on our journey from conception, through pregnancy and into parenthood.

We named the site Sticky Bean because it’s a term for an implanted foetus that results in a stable pregnancy. Plus it sounds really cute (or a bit rude, apparently, if you think like Nobby).

Posts titled in pink are made by Bexx and posts titled in blue are by Nobby. Don’t expect Nobby to post much as he’s always been quite lazy when it comes to blogging.

We’ve decided not to use our real names, just in case anyone we know (and haven’t invited) happens to stumble in. And it’s so much more exciting pretending to be somebody else.

It’s not easy to identify with people you know nothing about however, so here’s a few tidbits about us:

Bexx:

• Brunette
• Blue eyes
• Loves chocolate
• Hates ignorant people
• Doesn’t have a job

Nobby:

• Age 42 (eeek!)
• Also brunette
• Blue/green eyes
• Loves knowledge
• Hates music
• Works in the public sector

We adore animals and have an eclectic mix of birds and cats. We own our own home in a large town in East Anglia, though we intend to move before baby comes along.

To protect the identity of friends and family, we will be using fake names for them too. Not that we know that many people anyway lol.
